Discrimination?

Bakit biglang nauso ang discrimination?? I've been hearing stories left and right! The more popular ones were with Bebe Gandanghari at Aruba bar and Inday Garutay, who even filed a suit (I think...haha). Another friend of mine wrote on his Facebook status, "Mikki G: experienced what GandangHari experienced in a bar last Friday night. now, let's talk about outright discrimination. =)"

Read the stories of Bebe here and on her blog.

I had a similar experience at Manor last Saturday. I was in line with my twin brother Miguel and my cousin Mark to check on the guestlist. Upon our turn, the girl said that our names weren't on the list. I got my phone to look for the text of my friend and when I found it I showed it to the girl. She immediately stamped us with a black VIP mark on our hands. After the guestlist girl, on the door were the bouncers. I was in front of the bouncer on the left. He quickly told me, "Bawal po." So I just thought it was because I was wearing a pair of sandals. Being an Embassy owned club, they impose the same rules. So I stepped aside and waited for my other cousin who was also going with us. When they arrived, we checked out their trunk where there were two basketball rubbershoes. OHMYGUARD! I would've looked hilarious with that! ahahahahaha Then found a pair of leopard round-toe flats, which was a little bigger than my size. So I decided to use that instead. When we got back to the door, the bouncer reacted shoutingly saying, "Pumunta na yan eh, bumalik na naman!" Puzzled, I then asked, "Ano ba yung bawal?" To my surprise, he answered,"Yung mga lalakeng nagbibihis babae!" OHMYGUARD!!!!

I have never been so humiliated and violated at the same time! I wasn't even wearing anything vulgar! Pati naman lalaki nagsusuot ng skinny jeans noh! My shirt was even very loose that night! Super nakakahiya! ang dami daming tao dun! I demand a public apology! ahahahahahaha

I tried to call Caleigh, who was the manager of the club and the friend of my kumpare (haha), and explained to her what happened. She kindly met me outside. After talking, Caleigh approached the other bouncer on the right. He called me and said to the other bouncer, "Ok na yan, sponsor natin yan.." Bwahahahahahaha What a way to make the mean bouncer shut up! ahahahahaha

I didn't exactly get mad at the club and the management, but with how that particular bouncer deal with me at that moment.

All that drama turned into something when I got to meet Jose Sarasola (Pinoy Fear Factor) inside! ahihihihi

Here are other pictures from that night.

Thank you so much to Dennis and Caleigh for all the help!

:)

At last!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Pratt! Even if don't approve of the two, I would still like to send my best wishes to the newly weds! :)

Check out the other photos of their wedding on MTV.

Check out the girl in yellow on the right, isn't she the bartender, who Spencer was flirting with in one episode that made Heidi say, "I'm done with you!" ahahahaha Why was she even invited??? Makialam nga!! ahahahaha

Meanwhile, in Batangas this morning, a famous showbiz couple also got married...

After all the mystery on where and when Juday and Ryan Agoncillo's wedding, the two finally got married this morning in Batangas. Read the story here. Congratulations and Best Wishes!!!

Boo!

At the recent Miss USA 2009 pageant, Miss California was asked by Perez Hilton for her final question:

"Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit? Why or why not?"

Miss California:

Well I think it's great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. Um, we live in a land that you can choose same sex marriage or opposite marriage and, you know what, in my country and in, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman," Carrie said to a mix of boos and applause. "No offense to anybody out there. But that's how I was raised and that's how I think that it should be between a man and a woman."

CHAKA MO! Joke lang! hihi

Congratulations to the new Miss USA, Kristen Dalton, Miss North Carolina.

SUMPA

I have a friend, his name is John Raymundo. Actually, he's my bestfriend and meron siyang SUMPA. It's called, "The Curse of John's Birthday Party."

So it goes like this..

Every year, syempre John grows a year older. At syempre, no matter what the circumstances are at that particular year, John has to have a birthday party! ahahahahaha

Back in 2004, John had a Party a Tajma, a Persian/Indian inspired restaurant near Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City. It was super fun!!! But it closed.

A year after, there was a newly opened resto, again in Katipunan. It was called Bubble Gang resto. It was owned by the members of the show Bubble Gang. His party was super special that time, because the stars of the TV show and were there to join. Once more, it closed.

In 2006, Danica Sotto, a good friend of ours opened a cafe/restaurant in the Timog area called d Cafe. It was the first time John planned a dinner party with a long table for close friends. After that, was the after party where other friends came to join the celebration. D Cafe closed.

John decided to have a more laid back party for his 23 birthday party. it was held at Cantina by Tia Maria, a popular inuman place for the Ateneans and Katipunan natives. Right beside Cantina was Chiggy's, a fastfood chain specializing on grilled food. During the party, John ordered cocktails from Cantina and Beer from Chiggy's. Shocklingly, Chiggy's closed.

Last year, September of 2008, John had a party at the Makati gay bar Government. Only close friends and acquaintances were invited for the shindig. John was friends with the owner, that's why he got an open bar for his party. He got a text from Henry Lim last April 1, and it goes like this..

"Hi Everyone!

April 2009 will be CLUB GOVERNMENT's last month as I prepare to embark myself in a new journey in life. CLUB GOVERNMENT and its clients have given me almost 5 years of happy memories, but I am now ready for a new chapter in my life.

Just as I turned one year older a few days ago, I've made a promise to put HENRY LIM first -- to do things that makes me HAPPY I DO HOPE YOU ALL DO THE SAME as life is certainly too short.

Join me on Saturday April 25 as CLUB GOVERNMENT presents "THE JOURNEY!" -- OUR FINAL CURTAIN CALL.

"As one journey ends, another one begins."

Sincerely,
HENRY LIM"

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA but wait, there's another text last April 6...

"Hi CLUB GOVERNMEN FANS!

Just an update

I know that I've given you Apil 25 as the date for CLUB GOVT's final curtain call.

In my past message, I mentioned that I am very ready for the next chapter. I need to focus on other aspects of my life since I've already committed 5 years to CLUB GOVT.

However, there are recent developments in which I will be able to do the things I need to do and still keep CLUB GOVT going. I am in the final stages of the deal. I will update you guys as soon as IT IS A DONE DEAL.

So, it seems very very LIKELY that CLUB GOVT lives on after April 25. This is GOOD NEWS for all of its loyal fans and for Manila's vibrant gay community.

Have a great holy week guys!

Best wishes,
HENRY LIM
CLUB GOVERNMENT"

ABANGAN ANG SUSUNOD NA KABANATA!!! :D
